Updating Tape Drive FW Using ITDT (MacOS)

Download and install ITDT for macOS.  Instructions can be found HERE



Launch ITDT and a terminal window will appear.  Type 'S' and press enter to scan for tape drives (make sure the drive is not used by another software).




All tape drives attached will appear in the scan list.



Type the drive ID number and press enter.  The drive will be selected and an 'X' will appear at the end. 




Type 'F" and press enter to enter the firmware update menu.  The firmware file that was placed into the ITDT/input will appear as a selectable file.  Type the number of the firmware you want to update with and select enter.



Type 'C' to continue and confirm with ITDT that this is the firmware you want to update to and press enter. The firmware update process will start.  



Once completed you will receive a "Passed" status.  If there are any failures please contact MagStor technical support.
