Thunderbolt  AIR / USB4 Drivers and Setup

These downloads are for MagStor Thunderbolt 5 AIR / USB4 systems equipped with an ATTO ExpressSAS H1208 GT adapter.

Choose the download that matches your operating system. Do not install both macOS driver types.

macOS Drivers

macOS 26 Tahoe — DEXT Driver v2.01

Download DEXT Driver v2.01

The DEXT driver normally does not require changes to Startup Security.

1. Download and extract the driver package.

2. Run the included installer.

3. If prompted, approve the extension under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.

4. Restart the Mac after installation.

5. Approve any prompt asking permission to connect the MagStor device.

Apple Silicon Macs

Before installing the KEXT driver:

1. Restart the Mac in macOS Recovery.

2. Open Startup Security Utility.

3. Select Reduced Security.

4. Enable user management of kernel extensions from identified developers.

5. Restart the Mac normally and run the driver installer.

6. Approve the extension under System Settings → Privacy & Security if prompted.

7. Restart the Mac after installation.

Intel Macs

1. Download and extract the KEXT driver package.

2. Run the included installer.

3. Approve the extension under System Settings → Privacy & Security if prompted.

4. Restart the Mac after installation.

Intel Macs with an Apple T2 Security Chip may require an additional change in Startup Security Utility if the extension remains blocked.

Windows Driver

Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025

Download ATTO360 Storage for Windows

ATTO360 Storage includes drivers for several ATTO product families.

1. Download and run the ATTO360 Storage installer.

2. When prompted to select driver components, select the SAS5 driver.

3. Drivers for other ATTO product families are not required.

4. Complete the installation and restart Windows if prompted.

The SAS5 driver is required for the ATTO ExpressSAS H1208 GT adapter installed inside the MagStor Thunderbolt 5 AIR / USB4 system.

Verify the Installation

macOS

With the MagStor system powered on and connected:

1. Open System Information.

2. Confirm that the MagStor system appears under Thunderbolt/USB4.

3. Confirm that the ATTO adapter and attached LTO drive are detected.

Windows

With the MagStor system powered on and connected:

1. Open ATTO360 Storage and confirm that the H1208 GT adapter is detected.

2. Open Device Manager.

3. Confirm that the ATTO adapter and LTO drive appear without warning icons.

If the adapter or tape drive is not detected, restart the computer and the MagStor system. If the issue continues, contact MagStor Technical Support.
